Feivel is a dog that came to us from Andreas Lohmann in Germany. Andreas is the breeder of Erlenbusch kennel and the well known Crok Erlenbusch. Feivel is a dog with SO much talent and drive that you have to see it to believe it. He is also very handler hard and this is what has kept him from getting further than just the BH. Feivel has a problem with correction that we feel started at a young age, before we got him, and it has been a definite roadblock in his training. We
have not given up though. We are working with new techniques that are mainly motivational and avoid corrections directly from the handler. Feivel's puppies have not shown this type of dominance and handler aggression thus far. However they have shown his extreme drives and quick learning. Feivel is producing great hips and overall health and hardiness in his puppies. His pedigree speaks for itself with 2 dogs from his litter competing in the BSP at very young ages and several in the LGA. His father Crok is famous from producing dogs of Feivels type, with true hardness and courage that is lacking in a lot of modern bloodlines. His mother Olympia v.d. Wannaer Höhen is by Deika who
is one the top producing females of all time. Feivel has extremely hard and full grips and is producing that in his offspring. So far, Feivel appears to be the type of dog that is producing high level sport dogs, as well as police/ military dogs. He can compliment any serious breeding program. |
